Divya Gandhi is a Software Development Engineer at GitHub, where she is responsible for maintaining external identities, including SAML/SCIM integrations with AAD and Okta. With over 9 years of relevant experience in the field, Divya has established herself as a key player in the tech industry. Prior to joining GitHub, Divya worked at Microsoft, where she served as a Software Development Engineer and maintained Authentication and Identity Access Management services for Azure DevOps. In her team of 4, she was responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of core Shared Platform service (SPS), including S2S (service to service) and user authentication across Azure DevOps. She also contributed to reducing maintainability of Azure DevOps services by automating most of the on-call processes. Divya is a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) graduate from IIT, where she studied Computer Sciences. She also attended St Mary's Convent School, Faridkot, before moving on to IIT. Divya is well-versed in a variety of tech stacks, including Software Engineering, DevOps, and Azure. Divya is passionate about building identity on the internet and is currently the maintainer for external identities at GitHub. She manages user and service integrations of GH with identity providers such as aad, okta, and gsuite. Divya is a strong supporter of the work GitHub is doing to support the open-source community and to simplify product and processes for code maintainers. In addition to her work, Divya is also dedicated to mentoring women who want to pursue education and careers in STEM. She strongly believes in "pinkify-ing" CS and encourages women to join the conversation. Divya is always looking to connect with like-minded individuals who share her passion for technology and gender diversity.
