Divya Sambasivan is a highly experienced Machine Learning Engineer currently working at Stripe. With over 10 years of relevant experience, Divya has a strong background in software engineering and ML infrastructure. Prior to joining Stripe, Divya worked at Yelp as a Software Engineer and Machine Learning Engineer on the Spam team. During her time at Yelp, she led machine learning projects of 3-4 engineers from planning to production, and published Project Lead Guidelines to outline best practices while leading projects. Divya also developed and deployed machine learning models in an imbalanced problem space and deployed 3 end-to-end ML models from inception to deploy. She has experience in dealing with unstructured and structured data sources and has mentored teammates and participated in the Awesome Women in Engineering (AWE) Mentorship program. Divya holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science from PES Institute of Technology.
