Divya Sudhakar is a Senior Software Engineer at Airbnb, with over 10 years of experience in software engineering across a range of products, from enterprise to consumer to site reliability to data platforms. Divya is a self-proclaimed nerd who enjoys following the bleeding edge of the industry and software engineering best practices in her free time. She is drawn to novelty and breadth, which is reflected in her diverse work experience. Divya is a Board Member of the Alumni Advisory Board to the UCLA Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, where she plays a small role in building the next generation of engineers. At Airbnb, Divya is a technical leader building data platforms to provide insights to Airbnb engineers, data scientists, and leadership about how different demographic groups experience the company's features while preserving the privacy and trust of its users. Prior to Airbnb, Divya spent a significant portion of her career at Google, where she cut her teeth building great quality, extremely scalable software as part of highly efficient teams. She explored completely different domains on four different teams in three different cities and was a lead in the Women@Google Employee Resource Group for part of this time. Divya also worked at Cisco, chasing her interest in computer networks by writing C that ran on little more than bare metal. Divya holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from SSN College of Engineering, Anna University. She also completed coursework at Stanford Center for Professional Development. Divya's tech stack includes software engineering and site reliability engineering (SRE). With 11.54 years of relevant experience, Divya is a seasoned software engineer with a passion for exploring new domains and building scalable software.
