Dmitri Stepanov is an accomplished Head of Product & Engineering at Kai Concepts, LLC with over 8 years of relevant experience. He is currently leading the development and commercial launch of Jetfoiler, the best-in-class foiling electric surfboard for consumer retail. Additionally, he is leading the design and development of the next-gen Kiteboat to set a world record in crossing from California to Hawaii, and leading the early development effort for a hydrofoil-based electric seaplane for medevac rescue missions in remote areas. Prior to joining Kai Concepts, Dmitri worked as a Lead Solutions Engineer at Salesforce where he led a team of technical experts in the delivery of digital transformation solutions. He was recognized as the Salesforce Spirit of Solution Engineering (2018) and Salesforce Solution Engineer of the year (2017). He also worked as a Software Engineer at FIS, where he developed software to model the evolution of future market and credit events (Monte Carlo) for risk management applications by global financial institutions. He was recognized as a SunGard Top Performer (nominated, 2014) and SunGard Technical Guru (nominated, 2016). Dmitri holds a PhD Candidate in Operations Research, a MASc in Materials Science, and a BASc in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Toronto. His technical skills include product management, Salesforce, SQL, software engineering, and Python. Dmitri is a highly motivated and results-driven professional who is passionate about developing innovative products that solve real-world problems. He has a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
