Dmytro Petruk is a passionate software engineer with a strong interest in Machine Learning, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Big Data, web development, and DevOps. Currently interning at CERN, he is seeking opportunities to improve his skills in each of his interests and learn something new. Dmytro believes that Machine Learning can change every aspect of human life if applied correctly. With 6.20 years of relevant experience, Dmytro has worked on various projects, including developing back-end API of a sports mobile application using Flask framework and deploying it to AWS (Python), creating a location-based search engine (ElasticSearch), and organizing continuous delivery and cohesion of fresh data from different online sources by using APIs and writing scrapers. He has also worked as a Full Stack engineer using TDD approach (Ruby on Rails) and as an OpenLab Summer Student at CERN, where he worked on developing Jens (component for the Puppet, used to dynamically manage configurations of over 23k of CERN’s servers) and extended functionality of ai-foreman (CLI tool for Foreman specialized for CERN AI group) (Python). Dmytro has an Engineer's Degree in Computer Science from agh University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Linköping University. He is proficient in various technologies, including Ruby, Python, ML, Web, AI, Computer Vision, CI/CD, Big Data, test, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, DevOps, Integration, Puppet, and more. Dmytro enjoys participating in hackathons and facing up to challenging problems. He is a strong believer that Machine Learning can change every aspect of human life if applied correctly.
