Doddi Yogendra Rao is a Senior Associate at PwC US Analytics Advisory with over 8 years of experience in the field of analytics consulting. He leads execution for emerging technology at PwC and advises clients and teams on strategy, new technology investment, product design and development, and piloting. Yogendra is currently focused on AI strategy design, solutioning, and delivering end-to-end NLP solutions to solve complex business problems. Yogendra completed his bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela and joined PwC US Advisory(DIAC) in July 2015. He has worked across various verticals employing Freight Management, Trade Promotions Management, Dynamic Product Recommendation, Network Design and Logistics Assessment. Yogendra has been exposed to a variety of tools and languages such as R, Python, Excel, SQL etc. Currently, Yogendra is leading a team of 6 in a newly set up AI Lab team in India and helping with the expansion plan by leading recruitment and interviewing candidates in the process. As part of his role, he is helping accelerate the adoption of AI solutions developed by the team across internal and external clients. The AI driven solutions built by the team has saved the firm 12,000 hours of manual effort. Yogendra has also worked on various projects for PwC's clients. He compiled business requirements into BAU solution for a major US energy producer and improved its energy market bidding strategy, resulting in a substantial increase of 3.5% in revenue per month for the client. He also led a team that evaluated business requirements for a freight management business based out of Singapore of a leading mining and metal extraction company based out of Australia. The solution provided the client an increased confidence and precision in tracking ETAs, thus increasing client’s ability to forecast vessel movements and helping the client save 200M $ in demurrage costs. Apart from his work, Yogendra has also led the recruitment team of NIT Rourkela, preparing the team for pre-placement talk, shortlisting candidates and conducting interviews. He is currently coaching 6 resources from India and has mentored 5 interns from India and Singapore. Yogendra's tech stack includes AI, SQL, NLP, product designer, and Python.
