Don Hanson is a seasoned technology leader with over 20 years of experience in delivering highly scalable platforms and services. He is currently the Sr. Engineering Leader at Corelight, Inc, where he leads a team of engineers in developing innovative sensor products. Don is passionate about building diverse, high-performing teams and has extensive experience in starting, growing, and inspiring fast-moving, global teams. Don has a proven track record of delivering new products and platforms to market, from concept to customer adoption and support, in both start-up and large enterprise environments. He is an expert in collaborating with stakeholders to create a common vision, strategy, and roadmap. Don is also experienced in implementing transformative practices, including agile process adoption, technology, and cloud migrations. In addition to his work at Corelight, Don is a member of the Board of Directors at MakerForce, a grassroots emergency response organization that harnesses the collective manufacturing power of individual makers and 3D printing hobbyists. MakerForce's current mission is to help alleviate the supply crisis of personal protective equipment (PPE) caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Don also serves as the Director of Quality & Volunteer Coordinator (Volunteer) at MakerForce, where he has helped donate tens of thousands of face shields, masks, and other gear directly to front-line healthcare workers, first responders, and educators around the United States. Don holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington. He has extensive experience in building cloud platforms and services for internal, partner, and customer engineering teams. Don's leadership style is centered around engagement, empowerment, and empathy, and he is committed to growing successful software teams.
