Don Rosenthal is a seasoned product professional with over 33 years of experience and a deep technical background in AI. He has broad industry experience, including PM leadership in the autonomous vehicle space. Don has founded two AI companies that have generated measurable returns for both end-users and shareholders, with a 7x return to investors in just 18 months and an annual average increase in customer revenues of 11% while simultaneously reducing overtime costs. Don has senior management experience in enterprise and consumer companies, public and private companies, domestic and global. He has managed the full life cycle of multiple products from concept to deployment. Don was the Site Lead for Product and Group Product Manager for Autonomy at Uber-ATG, with responsibility for all autonomy development tools. He has demonstrated success in pioneering solutions to some of the most complex technical problems, including the self-organizing “Smart Hospital,” the lights-out semiconductor fab, the first AI System flown in space (STS-57 mission), autonomous planetary rover architectures, and Artificial Intelligence-based ground support systems for the Hubble Telescope. Don has a proven, consistent talent for tackling complex domains and developing an understanding of them and the end-users’ needs at an intuitive level. He has the ability to do a deep dive into new fields, determine the most important problems that need solving, build a solid business case, generate an innovative solution, define the product, and then create and lead the multidisciplinary teams to deploy systems that provide real value. Don holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Harvard University. He is currently a PM for Applied Machine Learning at Facebook, where he continues to apply his extensive experience and expertise in AI and product management. Don has also held leadership positions at Uber-ATG and Konacom, where he refined an integrated vision for the cloud-based software that encapsulates all aspects of the business, including sales, customer support, field operations, and network management.
