Dr. Ankur Narang is a highly experienced senior technology leader and entrepreneur with a career spanning 28 years. He has held senior technology R&D leadership and management positions across several multinational corporations, including IBM Research India, Sun (Oracle) Research Labs, Hike, Yatra, Mobileum, and Mentor Graphics and Atrenta (Synopsys Inc). His technical expertise covers a broad range of areas, including machine learning and AI, full-stack technology and product design and implementation, high-performance computing, 3D modeling and animation, paralleling compilers, massive scale simulations, and formal verification. He has worked across multiple verticals, including telecom, social, gaming, metaverse, EdTech, oil and gas, e-commerce, media, EDA, and biotech. Dr. Narang is a published author with over 55 publications in international conferences and journals and book chapters in machine learning/AI, CV, NLU, speech, and high-performance computing. He has 15 patents granted by USPTO and 20 pending approval in verticals, including telecom analytics, oil and gas, high-performance computing, and systems SW. Dr. Narang holds a PhD in computer science from IIT Delhi, an MS Engg Mgmt from Santa Clara University, and a B.Tech in computer science from IIT Delhi. Dr. Narang is an active member of the international conferences, including Industry Track Chair at ICDCN, PC member at IPDPS, HiPC, SBAC-PAD, IndoSys, ICDCIT, and others. He has given invited talks at numerous conferences. Dr. Narang has received numerous awards, including Top 100 Innovative CIO, Top 50 Analytics Award, Top 10 Data Scientists in India Award, Technical Accomplishment award in IBM Research, Sun’s prestigious Innovation Leadership Award, and IEEE Award.
