Dr. Anish Cheriyan, PhD is a seasoned Software Quality Assurance professional and a thought leader in the field of software engineering. With over 15 years of relevant experience, he is currently leading the Global Engineering Quality and Engineering Tools division for Harman Automotive. Anish has previously held the position of AVP-Quality at Huawei Technologies India Private Limited, where he led the Quality, Cyber Security, Software, Test & Open Source Engineering CoE. He was also responsible for the Knowledge Management Function in Huawei India. As Head of Quality of Huawei India Research and Development Center, Anish’s key responsibilities included Quality Assurance, Governance, Cyber Security Assurance, Agile/Lean/Continuous Delivery/Testing, and DevOps coaching, Industry management, Engineering, and Service Delivery process management. He was an Organization Transformation Leader for Agile Adoption at Huawei India and has coached teams both in India and other Overseas R&D Centers of Huawei. Anish is an Open Source Enthusiast and has worked with teams for Open Source Community strategy, evaluation, and selection, Quality Assurance. He has been a Test Quality Assurance Leader and Release Quality Expert, focusing on testing maturity, test sufficiency, automation framework/architecture, feature stability analysis, and release quality assurance. Anish has expertise in Continuous Delivery and DevOps and has automated and streamlined the build-test-release cycle by developing continuous integration and delivery tools. He has also developed Anti-patterns of continuous testing & Delivery and contributed to industry forums and communities. Anish is a frequent speaker at industry-level events and has given talks on topics related to Agile, Scrum, Lean Startup, Kanban, Cyber Security & Testing. He is a member of IEEE and ASQ-IT Chair Bangalore LMC. Anish has a PhD in Computer Software Engineering from CMR University, a Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) from Bharathiyar University, and a B.Sc in Physics from Mahatma Gandhi University. His tech stack includes Test, QA, DevOps, CI/CD, Research Scientist, and Integration. Anish’s expertise and experience make him a valuable asset to any organization.
