Dr. Lavanam Amballa is a subject matter expert in Talent Acquisition with over 12 years of experience, specializing in Campus Hiring and Operations. Currently holding the position as National Head - Campus Hiring at Wipro, he is responsible for forecasting hiring demand, strategizing hiring plans and deliveries, building strategies with senior leadership, and improving joining ratios and brand building. Additionally, he builds strategic relationships with colleges and students to establish sustainable hiring channels, improves processes with enablement teams and assessment partners, and covers various types of hiring, including overseas, PWD, and internships hiring. Dr. Amballa has achieved several key milestones during his tenure at Wipro, including the successful execution of National Talent Hunt, Pre Joining Hiring Programme (PJP), and TalentNext (FDP). He has also held several roles in the past, including Campus Ops Manager, Location Campus Manager, Campus Ops Lead, and Lateral Recruiter, where he transformed hiring trends and engagement activities in fresher hiring and was awarded as a STAR performer for four consecutive hiring cycles. Dr. Amballa holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Humanities/Humanistic Studies from Bharathidasan University and has a strong skill set in project management, team liaison, process design and implementation, risk management processes and analysis, staff development, data management, negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication. He has experience in the tech stack of test and web. Prior to Wipro, Dr. Amballa worked at Capricorn Human Capital as an Account Coordinator, where he was responsible for recruitment of IT professionals and generating new clients. He also worked at Primera Communications Pvt. Ltd as a Team Leader.
