Dr. M. Sabarimalai Manikandan is an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad with over 14 years of relevant experience. He specializes in Electronic System Design, Signal and Image Processing, Internet of Things (IoT), Embedded Signal Processing and Machine Learning Architectures, and Smart Sensing and Monitoring System Development. He has developed various systems, including Contact and Non-Contact Medical Devices, Soil Health Monitor, Water & Air Quality Monitor, Machine Health Monitor, Power Quality Monitor, Sound Based Event Monitor, Multimodal Surveillance Monitor, Forensic Audio and Visual Analytics, and Voice-Enabled Technologies. Dr. Manikandan has also developed various application software, such as Biosignal Analysis Software, Medical Imaging Software, Power Quality Analysis Software, Activity Monitoring Software, Signal Processing Algorithms for IoT and Smartphone Applications, and Speech Signal Analysis Software. He has worked with advanced technology groups, Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Dr. Manikandan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Signal Processing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, a Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Microwave and Optical Engineering from Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Amrita Institute of Technology Science. His technical skills include Research Scientist, Image Processing, Machine Learning, Mobile, and Image Segmentation. Dr. Manikandan is a prolific researcher with several publications in top-tier journals and conferences. He is also a reviewer for various international journals and conferences.
