Dr. Ramprasad Srinivasan is a highly experienced Aerospace Engineer with over 25 years of experience in product development, stress analysis, and finite elements. He currently serves as the Professor and Head of Department of Aerospace Engineering at Alliance University. Dr. Srinivasan has a consistent track record of exceeding expectations and leading teams to achieve enhanced productivity through his rich project and program management experience. He is an expert in stress analysis using Finite Element Methods of complex engineering models and has excellent communication skills with a flare to work independently as well as in a team. Dr. Srinivasan is a certified Green Belt and trained on all aspects of Six Sigma (DFSS and DMADOV). He has expertise in developing advanced engineering solutions in core-technology areas like composite, aero structures, nonlinear, structural dynamics, implicit and explicit methods, impact problems, health monitoring, and aeroelasticity. He has also developed methods for specific engineering requirements and knowledge-based engineering. Dr. Srinivasan has worked with companies like Honeywell and Mahindra Satyam in the past. At Honeywell, he served as a Staff Engineer in the Condition Based Maintenance CoE where he embraced new technologies and developments in the condition-based maintenance field. At Mahindra Satyam, he worked as an Assistant Vice President and was involved in the development of requirements for plug-type passenger doors for civilian aircraft, development of a complete simulation requirement for developing a fatigue tool for performing fatigue and crack growth calculations on aerostructure components, and development of enterprise software framework for NDE-centric offline integrated aircraft structural health monitoring of airframe structures in collaboration with Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Chennai). Dr. Srinivasan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Aerospace Engineering from Jain University, where his thesis was on static analysis of metallic and composite structures using a coupled field formulation. He also holds a Master of Science (MS) and two Master's degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from IIT Kanpur. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from UVCE Bangalore-Bangalore University. Dr. Srinivasan's tech stack includes product management and integration, and he has relevant experience of 17.54 years.
