Dr. Sachin K. Sharma is an accomplished Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning Researcher, as well as a Technology Policy Consultant, with expertise in Urban Computing, Information, and Computational Social Systems. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Cluster Innovation Centre, University of Delhi, India, where he conducts research and teaches courses in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Urban Computing, Information Systems, and Computational Social Science. Dr. Sharma holds a PhD in Architectural and Building Sciences/Technology, Artifical Intelligence, and Urban Computing from the University of Delhi, where his research focused on modeling and predicting building energy performance using machine learning approaches. His research work has been published in reputed national and international high-impact factor SCI/SCIE/Scopus journals such as Energy and Buildings (Elsevier, IF=7.6), Sustainable Cities and Societies (Elsevier, IF=10.5), and Sustainable Energy, Grids, and Networks (Elsevier, IF=5.6). He has also completed his post-graduation in Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from the same university. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Sharma worked as a Software Development Engineer with IHS Markit Information Mosaic, United Kingdom, where he designed and developed software products and services using the latest technologies in the finance, securities, and share market domain. He has also served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Delhi, where he taught computer science courses, conducted research and innovation-related work, and mentored students in research projects and product developments. Dr. Sharma has published over 30 research works in various high-impact factor SCI/SCIE/Scopus indexed journals and conferences. He has participated and presented research works at several international and national conferences and seminars. He is invited as a resource person in many conferences, faculty development programmes (FDPs), and workshops to share his knowledge and expertise. He is also promoting interdisciplinary research, innovation, and entrepreneurship at Cluster Innovation Centre through project-driven pedagogy, research publication outputs, and startup promotion. Dr. Sharma's main thrust is to develop technological artifacts to solve societal problems and their deployment in real-world environments. With this vision, he has been continuously providing his consultations to startups and corporations.
