Dr. Venkatesh Naganathan is an accomplished academic and a seasoned leader with over 10 years of experience in the education industry. Currently serving as the Academic Director at Amity Global Institute in Singapore, Dr. Naganathan has a proven track record of delivering results and driving growth in his previous roles. In his most recent position at London School of Business and Finance, Dr. Naganathan was responsible for developing the academic department's strategy and handling the entire academy's operations. He managed six departmental heads and over 80 academic and non-academic staff, with an overall student strength of around 2200. He reduced costs by over S$300,000 in the first six months by streamlining teaching hours and introducing blended learning, which improved the courses' effectiveness and operational efficiency. He also reviewed and improved coursework, teaching methods, and library facilities, and curated, designed, and developed high-quality curriculum for corporate clients. As the Dean of Academic Affairs at MDIS, Dr. Naganathan provided leadership and management direction, established clear communication channels, and achieved and maintained high-quality academic staff ratings from students. He managed all departmental staff, including academic and non-academic, with an overall student strength of 2932. He also chaired the Academic Board and Exam Board and was in charge of conducting examinations for 3000 students of different university partners. Dr. Naganathan holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Madras, an MHRM from Pondicherry University, and an MCA and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Madras. He is currently pursuing an MA in Psychology from Indira Gandhi National Open University. Dr. Naganathan's expertise in curriculum planning, program budgeting, and program delivery, combined with his strong student pastoral care skills, make him an asset to any academic institution. He is also experienced in developing collaborative and interdisciplinary projects and developing strong networks with external academic partners, community, and industry.
