Effy John is a junior year student at BITS Pilani, pursuing an Integrated First Degree in B.E.(Hons.) Mechanical Engineering & M.Sc (Hons.) Physics. She is a Research Intern with Pixxel, working on Mechanical Engineering Design. She is also the Coordinator of ELAS and Joint Captain of the RC Club. Effy's interests lie in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science. She has hands-on experience building model aircraft and flying them with the BITS RC-Club, and is passionate about aviation. She has experience with C++ and enjoys programming with it. Quizzing is a hobby of hers, and she has made several close friends who share this passion. At Pixxel, Effy started as a Propulsion team member and worked on analyzing various propulsion solutions for the cubesat Pixxel was making. She then shifted to GNC-ADCS, where she helped write the ground station coverage code and heat map, and helped with other aspects of the team's functioning. She has also worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Physics Department at BITS Pilani. Effy has a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani and completed her AISSCE (CBSE XII) from Chettinad Vidyashram. Her tech stack includes Research Scientist, Python, Web, and ML. She has relevant experience of 0.45 years.
