Elroy Serrao is a seasoned fintech professional with over 12 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has a strong background in strategy and implementation of new products and applications for both regular banks and fintech companies. Elroy specializes in digital banking and payments, and has led projects building digital payment strategies for large firms across India, Europe, and South East Asia. Elroy's expertise includes retail banking, credit cards, payments, open banking, business intelligence and analytics, business process modeling, business analysis, software application architecture, UML, and blockchain. He is currently the podcast host at India Fintech Diaries, where he explores how new transformative technologies like blockchain, digital payments, and API-based open banking can help both financial services firms and their customers. Elroy's past companies include Zeta, where he served as Senior Director of Product Marketing, and EY, where he was a Senior Manager. At Zeta, Elroy worked on digital banking strategy for a foreign bank in India, credit card launch considerations for a foreign bank in India, and national digital payments strategy for a country in MENA. At EY, he conceptualized and brought the mobile/tablet version of the flagship BI product to market, engaged in vendor management, and helped run an off-shore development center. Elroy holds an MBA in Finance from NMIMS and a BE in Computers from the University of Mumbai. He also attended St. Dominic Savio for his secondary education.
