Emadreza Soltanian is an Early Stage Researcher (ESR) at Ghent University - imec, currently pursuing his Ph.D. as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) fellow. He is a part of the Wideband Optical Networks (WON) European/Innovative Training Network (ETN-ITN) project, which focuses on the integration of III-V optical active devices on the silicon photonic platform. Emadreza's research goal is to realize an array of widely tunable narrow-linewidth III-V-on-Silicon lasers using transfer printing (TP) technology, which enables covering the O to L band. He plans to integrate the laser array in a transmitter including transfer printed III-V-on-Silicon IQ modulators and semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs), which enables fast and high-bandwidth data communication through the entire O to L band. Emadreza has experience working as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Shahid Beheshti University before joining Ghent University. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz (Jundi Shapur), a Master's degree in Nano and Micro Electronic Devices, Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University, and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Photonics and Electronics from Ghent University. Emadreza is a Research Scientist with 0.27 years of relevant experience in integration. His technical skills include III-V semiconductor device fabrication, silicon photonics, and transfer printing. He is passionate about exploring new technologies and is dedicated to contributing to the field of photonics and electronics through his research.
