Eric is an expert in making performant RESTful API microservices and is an ML enthusiast working with clusters and k8s. He is also experienced with AWS and is a Certified Scrum Master. Eric is known for his ability to handle hard problems with ease and is always looking for new challenges to tackle. He is a fast failer and believes in failing fast, which helps him learn quickly and move on to the next challenge. Eric has worked with several companies in the past, including Mastercard and ARMCube, where he held the positions of Senior Software Engineer and Scrum Master, and Java Software Engineer, respectively. At Mastercard, Eric was responsible for developing performant and SLO-stringent fraud detection and mitigation solutions (Cybersecurity & Intelligence), while at ARMCube, he focused on multi-threaded Java API development and big data analysis in the Java ecosystem. He has also worked on designing, building, and commercializing compact clusters of ARM processors for access to fast and convenient machine learning (ML) in the home or on-prem. Eric has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Calgary. He is proficient in Software Engineering, AWS, Java, ML, Docker, Microservices, Python, Big Data, SQL, test, ETL, and Integration. Eric is currently working at not looking to move, inc as a Hard-Problem Solver and Software Engineer. He is a highly motivated individual who loves hard problems and sleeps only 6 hours a day.
