Evan C. is an experienced Software Engineer with over 18 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently working as a Software Engineer VII at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Evan has been instrumental in guiding the transition of the CI/CD pipeline for an existing cloud product to be more reliable and consistent leveraging GitHub, Jenkins, and chat (Slack) operations. He has also designed a dynamic virtual array pool, reducing infrastructure complexities associated with maintaining hundreds of virtual machines. Evan's cloud product interfaces with major hyper scalers (AWS, Azure, and GCP) using their published APIs to perform various operations. Evan quickly became the main product architect for core functionality and transitioned the product from a monolithic architecture into multiple microservices. He processed and ran the billing aspect of the offering, interfacing with the Finance team to properly recognize revenue and invoicing the customer. Evan enabled the operations and business development sales teams by providing customer insights into cloud usage and spend through an internal web portal. He defined the architecture of various core microservices for the HPE Data Services Cloud Console (DSCC) product offering, including authorization and metering. Evan helped drive product management requirements into Epics and User Stories for the various team backlogs, provided technical guidance and decisions to multiple agile teams, and participated as a mentor in a companywide mentoring program where a mentee was assigned to a mentor for six months. Prior to Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Evan worked as a Principal Engineer at Nimble Storage, where he was one of four engineers tasked with developing Fibre Channel for Nimble arrays. He also worked as an MTS at NetApp, where he developed and maintained the Fibre Channel (FC) and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) device driver in Data ONTAP 7G (7.X) and Cluster Mode (8.X) operating systems using both QLogic and Emulex based adapters. Evan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University.
