Faisal Muazzam is a highly motivated and team-oriented Site Reliability Engineer with over 8 years of experience in the installation, automation, and management of applications running on Linux platforms. He has a proven track record of troubleshooting performance issues and conducting root cause analysis of production issues on JAVA-based applications. Faisal is a quick learner with excellent debugging skills and a desire to improve himself by learning and implementing new technologies. He is currently working as a Site Reliability Engineer at phonepe, where he is responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of their systems. Prior to this, Faisal worked as a Site Reliability Engineer at airtel, where he completed infra monitoring using Prometheus and Grafana. He also upgraded Kafka from version 1.0 to confluent Kafka 5.4 and Aerospike enterprise from version 3.14 to 4.9, with DC-DR real-time replication using XDR and end-to-end monitoring using Prometheus. Faisal migrated Elasticsearch from http to https and enabled local as well as AD authentication. He implemented Elasticsearch APM for application performance monitoring and conducted vulnerability assessments and closures. Before joining airtel, Faisal worked as a Linux Engineer at teksystems, where he was responsible for troubleshooting OS and application performance issues. He managed disk management using LVM partitions, installed, configured, patched, and upgraded applications, and created IAM users and assigned roles on AWS. Faisal's tech stack includes SRE, Elastic Search, Kafka, product manager, Java, AWS, infra, SQL, Web, Ansible, MySQL, Jenkins, and Microservices. He has over 10 years of relevant experience in the industry and is always on the lookout for new technologies to enhance his skills.
