Faizan Siddiqui is a highly motivated Research Engineer with a strong background in Autonomous Vehicles and Robotics. He is currently working as a Research Intern at Honda Research Institute USA, Inc. where he is involved in developing Visual SLAM solutions. Faizan holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Materials Science and Engineering from IIT Kanpur and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Robotics from the University of Minnesota. Faizan has gained valuable experience in his previous roles as an Undergraduate Research Student at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and as a Software Engineer Intern at Walmart. At IIT Kanpur, he developed end-to-end deep learning solutions for self-driving cars to predict the speed and steering response based on only visual input from cameras. He also analyzed the susceptibility of these solutions to adversarial attacks. At Walmart, Faizan developed the proof of concept of EPM suite REST-based microservice on Java and Scala for JSON based data transfer and communication between Essbase cubes and PBCS database. Faizan has a strong technical background and has worked with a variety of technologies including Research Scientist, ResNet, Deep Learning, Software Engineer, Microservices, Scala, and Java. He has relevant experience of 0.27 years and is passionate about working in the field of Autonomous Vehicles and Robotics. Faizan is a quick learner with excellent problem-solving skills and is always eager to take on new challenges.
