Felix Madutsa is a seasoned software engineer with over 5 years of experience in the tech industry. He currently works at Brex, where he is part of the Cash team that is reimagining financial systems to help growing companies reach their full potential. Before joining Brex, Felix co-founded Afari Inc. (formerly BlockX) while still in college. The company aimed to build blockchain-based applications that would help people reclaim their privacy and data on the internet. They developed a decentralized social network that put users in control of their data and rewarded them for creating quality content. Later, they pivoted to a centralized digital town square for college students to get a pulse of conversations happening around campus. Felix raised capital through venture investments and grants from Blockstack Signature Fund and Princeton eLab Accelerator, among other awards. Felix also worked as a Student Technology Consultant at Princeton University, where he assisted fellow students with IT-related questions and problems and fixed software-related issues on their computers. Felix holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Princeton University, where he studied Computer Science and Chemical and Biological Engineering. He also has an International Baccalaureate from Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA. Felix's tech stack includes software engineering, decentralized systems, and blockchain.
