Currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Apple Siri Search, Fiona is responsible for developing and enhancing the search functionality of the Siri platform. She has a deep understanding of ML algorithms and applies them to enhance decision-making in organizations. She is also interested in building applications for socially useful causes and believes in using technology for the betterment of society. Fiona's previous experience includes working as a Data Science Intern at Scry Analytics, where she applied NLP techniques like Word2Vec, Text CNN, and Doc2Vec for text classification in legal documents. She also took ML algorithms to production for text classification by applying oversampling, vocabulary building, feature selection, and dimensionality reduction techniques along with classification algorithms. During her time at eBay as a Graduate Student Intern, she built a tool to detect the types of errors that discourage a customer from completing a checkout at eBay’s checkout page so that customer support can be provided to most impactful errors. She also applied Machine Learning algorithms to user’s behavioral data to find the most impactful errors intelligently. Fiona holds a Master's degree in Computer Science (Data Science) from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
