Firoz P S is a senior year undergraduate student at IIT Madras who is passionate about technology and solving problems that affect the lives of common people using technology. He is interested in software engineering and product management and has already gained experience in both fields. Firoz has completed two software engineering internships, one with Microsoft India's 'Experiences and Devices' team and the other with a startup called ONI. He has also participated in several case study competitions and has been a top performer in some of them. Firoz has received a Pre Placement Offer (PPO) from Microsoft India for a software engineering full-time role. He is currently working as a Software Engineer Intern at Microsoft, where he is working on android development using Kotlin. He has been able to learn android development and Kotlin in a short span of two months and has continuously improved the code structure to make it more readable and modular. Prior to his current role, Firoz was a Microsoft Engage Mentee, where he implemented a one-to-one video call and chat feature using webRTC, socket.io, and MERN stack. He followed the Agile development methodology and documented the entire web application architecture. Firoz has also worked as the Deputy Head of Corporate Relations Cell at the International and Alumni Relations Student Council, where he led a team of nine managers and formed company associations on behalf of the institute for over 9,000 students. He conceptualized and organized the second edition of 'Industry Conclave' in a hybrid manner. Firoz's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from IIT Madras, which he is set to complete in 2023. He also holds a High School Diploma from Chavara Public School Pala Kottyam, where he scored 94.6%, and a CGPA of 10/10 from Al Manar Senior Secondary School. Firoz's tech stack includes software engineering, Android, Kotlin, product management, and web development. With 0.86 years of relevant experience, Firoz is a quick learner with a passion for technology and a drive to make a positive impact on people's lives.
