Fnu Nakshatra is a Senior Software Engineer at Citrix with over 6 years of experience working with Citrix and Microsoft EPS. During his time at San Jose State University, Fnu worked on the San Jose Smart City project, where he predicted aftershock waves after an earthquake using big data analysis and machine learning. He trained in the system for the arrival of S-Wave and P-Wave using Python and predicted aftershocks with an accuracy of 84% for previous data available for 16 stations from China. Fnu worked on almost 86000 samples for each station from the entire year, which was around 160GB of data containing seismic samples. He improved and refined the parameters for the present algorithms specifically related to noise reduction and is currently working on creating a generalized model to predict aftershocks for an earthquake for any station and data from California. Fnu holds a User Experience Nanodegree (UX Designer) from Udacity, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Software Engineering from San José State University, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Software Engineering from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
