Freddy Montano is a self-driven and curious software engineer with over 12 years of experience in the field. He has worked on a variety of web and client applications using technologies such as PHP, MySQL, Java, and C#. Freddy has also set up Linux servers and databases to support the systems he has built for clients. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at Pinterest, where he is having a blast doing Android development. Freddy is passionate about solving problems efficiently and writing elegant code. He enjoys seeing things differently and learning from others as well as by himself. He likes to share his knowledge and contribute to a bigger team. Freddy is looking for something that impacts people's lives and wants his work to be recognized and enjoyed by people around the world. In his previous role as a Senior Android App Engineer at Upside Travel, Freddy re-wrote the majority of the app in Kotlin and created an MVP framework to make the app more stable. He leveraged dependency injection via Dagger to make it more testable and easy to scale. Freddy also laid the foundations for the integration tests using Espresso + Robo pattern. During his time at Upside Travel, he also helped maintain some of their microservices and supported their mobile teams by creating new microservices using NodeJS. Freddy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from the University of the District of Columbia and also attended Universidad de Carabobo. His technical skills include Android, microservices, PHP, MySQL, backend, web, Dagger, integration, mobile, and Java. Freddy's experience and passion for software engineering make him a valuable asset to any team.
