Freyam Mehta is a pre-final year undergraduate at IIIT Hyderabad, majoring in Computer Science and Engineering. He is a goal-driven individual who loves to use modern technologies to solve user problems and has a demonstrated history of leading tech teams across multiple domains. Freyam is a natural at putting big ideas into action under pressure and focuses on delivering key outcomes, leading excellent teams, and swiftly adjusting to new learnings to solve problems. Freyam is an avid admirer of the open-source world and has had the pleasure of contributing to and being part of some of the most incredible communities such as Dask, NumFOCUS, Google Cirq, Joomla!, OpenMRS, LibreHealth, RTEMS, and CCExtractor. He is a firm believer in the potential of rural development schemes and has been working with several Not-for-profit organizations and startups over the last two years. With the Indian School of Business, Freyam directly impacted 400+ forest landowners in the rural areas of Jharkhand, Odisha, and Himachal Pradesh, India. During his tenure as the head of the technical team, he spearheaded the creation of the Fi application suite, which introduced a first-of-its-kind platform to resolve issues related to forest rights and record up-to-date information about the lands, ultimately helping in the research studies. Freyam briefly helped a startup, Temperate, build a better platform for their patented cold storage technologies. The project he led helped them launch their product to the market quicker than they had foreseen. Currently, he is working on two projects (Puhas Farms and INBEX) at Pradical. They are game-changing initiatives that aim to transform the AgricultureTech and BiomassTech space by streamlining the supply chain across all verticals and introducing a new paradigm shift through the help of modern technology! Freyam's responsibilities as a Product Engineer include directing the technical, designing solutions, and developing the platforms. He has a rich history of clientele consisting of Harvard University, Puhas Farms, Transerve Technologies, INBEX, and Horizon Hospitals. Freyam has led the end-to-end design and development team of 5 to deploy mobile and web solutions across 2 products. He built Puhas Farms - a product suite to automate the supply chain and provide a CMS for fresh harvest through a marketplace for over 100K+ local consumers and businesses.
