Furquan Shaikh is an experienced Software Engineer with over 12 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working as a Member of Technical Staff at Starent Networks, where he has been working on Femtocells and has developed an MSC simulator that can communicate with the HNB-GW over ATM. Prior to his current role, Furquan worked at Marvell Semiconductor as a Software Engineer in the Wireless Firmware Team. Here, he was responsible for the design and implementation of the TDLS protocol (802.11z), integration of the TDLS project with WFD, and the design and implementation of Closed Loop Power Control (CLPC). He has also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he conducted lab sessions for ECE 110. Furquan holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, which he completed in 2013. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from the University of Pune, which he completed in 2009. Furquan's tech stack includes Software Engineering and Senior Software Engineering.
