Gabriel Reiter is a former accountant who has transitioned into a successful software engineer. He is a recent graduate of the highly selective coding bootcamp, App Academy, where he gained proficiency in various technologies such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, React/Redux, Node, SQL, MongoDB, and Git. Gabriel is currently seeking a full-stack position at a company where he can continue to grow as a software engineer and make a meaningful impact on projects. Gabriel's recent projects include Trace, a running route tracking application inspired by Strava, Whats Cooking, an application that provides recipes based on user-entered ingredients, and Lava Escape, an interactive platform game. He is always eager to showcase his skills and welcomes new opportunities to collaborate. Prior to his career in software engineering, Gabriel worked as a Property Accountant at Ollie and as a Staff Accountant at T&M Protection Resources, LLC. In these roles, he managed property vendors, conducted monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, prepared and reviewed client invoices, and ensured accurate financial records. Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from City University of New York-College of Staten Island and completed additional coursework in Political Science and Government at Middlesex University. He also earned a Computer Software Engineering degree from App Academy. Gabriel's technical skills include Git, JavaScript, React, Redux, Node, HTML, CSS, AWS, Heroku, PostgreSQL, SQL, SQLite3, MongoDB, and Ruby on Rails. He has relevant experience in the field of software engineering for over 5 years. Gabriel is a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic, and his passion for software engineering is evident through his exceptional work.
