Gajanana Hegde is a seasoned Product Engineering Leader with over 20 years of experience building enterprise software platforms and applications both on-premise and in the cloud. He has a proven track record of building high-performance teams from the ground up, including the Hortonworks (now Cloudera) India Center which grew from a handful of engineers to almost 300 in about three and a half years. Currently, Gajanana is the VP & Global Head of Engineering at acceldata.io, a young, fast-growing leader in the data observability space. He is excited to be part of the senior leadership team that is helping to build the Data Observability Platform for the modern Data Stack. Gajanana's past experience includes working at Google as an Engineering Manager and at Hortonworks as the VP & General Manager of Engineering. During his tenure at Hortonworks, he played a pivotal role in growing the India Center from under 10 engineers to 260+ employees. Gajanana holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication from the University of Mysore. He also completed his high school education at MES College. With 24.19 years of relevant experience, Gajanana is a Senior Software Engineer with a diverse tech stack. His expertise includes building enterprise software platforms, data observability, cloud computing, and big data. He is a highly motivated individual with a passion for building high-performance teams and delivering innovative solutions to complex problems.
