Gal Talmor is an experienced web developer with over 15 years of experience in development, deployment, and maintenance of large scale web applications for both desktop and mobile platforms. Currently, she is serving as the Engineering Team Lead at Varo Bank, a no-fee, all-in-one banking solution aimed at millennials. Gal's mission at Varo revolves around improving customers' financial situations through machine-learned algorithms that detect their income and expenses and predict outcomes over the near-term future. She is responsible for leading the engineering team and ensuring the development of fast and efficient web applications. Before joining Varo Bank, Gal co-founded and served as the CTO of Shop Immigration Inc., a software development company dedicated to developing digital immigration applications. Later, she co-founded PassRight, the first platform that automated complex immigration petitions and helped U.S. immigrants and immigration attorneys achieve a streamlined immigration process. As the CTO of PassRight, Gal managed the engineering team using Agile methodologies, managed the product architecture, and took care of the servers' management on top of various AWS services. Gal's educational background includes a B.Sc. in Computer Science, specializing in computers communication and networks from The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo, and a matriculation in Computer Science from Irony Daled High School.
