Gal Yardeni is a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with over 8 years of experience in the industry. Currently working at Netflix, she is responsible for the development and implementation of Spinnaker, an open-source continuous delivery platform that is responsible for 95% of all Netflix cloud deployments. Gal's past experience includes working as a Software Engineer at VMware where she was responsible for the entire application lifecycle, including application architecture, development, testing, continuous deployment, and continuous delivery up to production. She was also part of a geographically distributed development team, working on a new SaaS platform called Cloud Services Platform, supporting various SaaS development efforts, including VMW on AWS. Gal has a great passion for writing clean code, designing and refactoring, and has experience using top-notch technologies like Golang, Docker, Kubernetes, Angular 2, JavaScript, Java 8, and AWS. Before joining VMware, Gal worked as a Server-Side Software Engineer at LivePerson, where she designed and built Java web services to process real-time data streams. She also led cross-functional discussions with internal customers, including UX and UI, to develop mobile tools. Gal used REST services, Spring framework, Hibernate, SAS, MySQL, GitHub, JIRA, tomcat, and JBoss AS in her work at LivePerson. Gal has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where she graduated in 2013.
