Ganesh Prasad Srivastav is an accomplished Data Engineering Manager at Facebook with over 12 years of relevant experience in the field. He has a proven track record of identifying and implementing scalable data architecture for petabyte scale data warehouses that are capable of handling 3Vs (volume, variety, and velocity) of big data. Ganesh has led a team of 7 engineers to build scalable data and analytics platforms, collaborating with CPMI, Data Scientists, and Program Managers to build an architecture of marketing impact measurement strategy and operational scorecards. His responsibilities at Facebook include building and executing a product roadmap to ingest, process, report and enable self-service analytics on all the marketing data which includes Facebook On Platform marketing, Off Platform digital marketing, Search engine marketing, and Off platform non-digital marketing, sentiment and engagement data, social media feeds, etc. Ganesh has also driven the design and implementation of an attribution system for Facebook Sentiment survey metrics in response to digital marketing efforts worth 400MM$. Ganesh's tech stack includes Presto, Hive, Spark, Custom internal ETL tool using Airflow, Tableau, SQL, Python, and Custom internal reporting tool. Prior to Facebook, Ganesh has worked as a Business Intelligence Manager at Disney and as a Principal Engineer at Pramati Technologies. At Disney, he worked on multiple initiatives as a BI Engineer, building relationships with business, pitching BI, negotiation of budgets and timelines, requirements gathering, and managing deliverables. At Pramati Technologies, Ganesh worked for RhythmOne (Bellevue, WA, USA) and helped the client figure out the data warehousing roadmap for their Ad Server data. He did multiple proof of concepts involving data hosting platforms, ETL platforms, and reporting platforms, and implemented and released the initial version of the data warehouse using Snowflake and in-house developed ETL tool. Ganesh holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) from iiit and an Intermediate degree from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Aliganj, Lucknow, with a major in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
