Ganesh Bagler is a computational gastronomy pioneer and data-driven food innovations expert with over 15 years of relevant experience. He is currently an Associate Professor at iiit, where he teaches and conducts research in the domains of complex systems, computational and systems biology, and complex networks. He is also associated with the Center for Computational Biology, where he is keenly interested in conducting research threads with undergraduate students. In fact, he runs an active research internship program in the Complex Systems Laboratory, through which he has so far conducted research projects with more than 60 undergrad students leading to peer-reviewed publications with their contributions. Ganesh has been awarded the 'Outstanding Educator Award, 2018' at IIIT-Delhi, which is a testament to his dedication and excellence in the field of education. Prior to his current role, he was an Assistant Professor at iiit, where he continued his work in complex systems and computational biology. In addition to his academic work, Ganesh is also a Co-Founder of ayusla cafe, where he has put his expertise in computational gastronomy to use. The cafe serves healthy and nutritious food using data-driven food innovations, which is a unique concept in the food industry. Ganesh holds a Ph.D. in Computational Biology from the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CSIR-CCMB) and a Higher Secondary Education (12th) degree in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, and Electronics from Walchand College of Arts and Science. He is a research scientist with a strong tech stack and a passion for using computational methods to solve complex problems in various domains.
