Gargi Biswas is an Equities Trading Platform SDE at Goldman Sachs with 2 years and 6 months of experience. She graduated from IIT Kharagpur in 2020 with a major in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science and Engineering. Gargi is a quick learner with an explorative mindset, and she has extensive experience in working with multiple business flows as part of Goldman Sachs Electronic Trading Platform (GSET) for EMEA Equities. Gargi has managed and maintained multiple stack components that include Order Manager, internal FX client, DFD client, Controls, Reference Data snapshots, Market Data, Trading Phase evaluators, and more. She is proficient in languages such as C++, Python, C, and Java, and has experience working with tools such as Git, svn, cvs, SQL, gdb, putty, confluence, and jira. Gargi is also knowledgeable in Data Structures and Algorithms, Object Oriented Programming, APIs, Databases, Distributed Design, Microservices, and Design Patterns. Currently working as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs, Gargi designs and develops features using C++ to maintain the Order Management Platform in a time-critical manner. She is on-call on a weekly basis to attend to real-time prod issues and mitigate/resolve them. Gargi manages communication between front-desk and backend team to ensure complete coverage of PROD issues to meet client expectations. As a Summer Intern at Goldman Sachs, Gargi embedded a trading phase evaluator inside the main order execution stack to overcome network failures while connecting to remote evaluator. She worked with in-house languages, C++ and Python, to develop this evaluator from scratch and did extensive code navigation and debugging to render it bug-free. Gargi tested the functionality with time-dependent test script to compare the trading phase outputs by the implemented logic and the old phase evaluator and was able to achieve 100% accuracy. Gargi is a software engineer with a strong background in backend development, SQL, Python, Microservices, and Java. She is currently looking for SDE-2 roles on an immediate join basis in India.
