Garima Kukreja is a highly skilled Software Development Engineer with over 4 years of experience in the industry. Currently working at Amazon Web Services (AWS), she holds the position of Software Development Engineer 2. In her current role, Garima is responsible for developing and maintaining software applications for AWS. Garima has previously worked at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer and at Capgemini as a Data Science Intern. During her time at Capgemini, she developed a resume parser that extracts required fields to create a standardized format and finds the top most relevant resumes for a given job description. This application intelligently extracts relevant information without the need for a corpus to match the key words from the resume. Garima used NLP techniques (python library spaCy), Apache Tika, Python, Elastic Search, and Kibana to develop the application. Garima holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas, which she completed in 2019. Prior to this, she obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Engineering from Thapar University in 2017.
