Garvit Jain is an experienced Software Engineer with a strong technical background in building microservices. Currently working as an SDE2 at Amazon, Garvit has previously worked with PayPal in the Consumer Activities team. In his previous role, Garvit was responsible for building search platforms that made every interaction of the 275M+ consumers and merchants with PayPal more secure and transparent. Garvit has extensive experience in building easy-to-use, highly available, scalable, and robust platforms. He is passionate about staying in an environment that is tightly knitted with the voice-of-customer, is bold enough to do the right thing for them, and exemplifies diversity & inclusion in its core values. During his time at PayPal, Garvit worked on various projects that included building a highly scalable platform that serves all kinds of activities that any user performs on PayPal Inc entities. He also worked on the architecture and development of a multi-threaded dependency graph-based Financial Activity platform that processes 20M+ transactions on any given day. Garvit has also worked on migrating 4 large-scale monolith C++ applications to a Java-based micro-service architecture without any downtime, reducing latency by 50% in the newer architecture. Garvit has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from VIT, Vellore Institute of Technology. His technical expertise includes Software Engineering, Search, Microservices, and Java.
