Garvit Vijai is a Full Stack Engineer with a focus on Javascript and Python. With over 5 years of experience working in an agile environment, he has worked on various projects ranging from mobile to large-scale enterprise applications. Garvit is passionate about solving business problems by leveraging new and evolving technologies, and he believes that there is always more to learn, more problems to solve, and more solutions to build. Currently pursuing his master's in computer science with a data science major at Trinity College Dublin, Garvit has experience working with Javascript (Vanilla, Typescript, React, Redux), Python (FastAPI, Flask), databases (relational and unstructured), Node, and Docker (elementary level). He has also worked with Ruby on Rails and PHP in the past, although he is not proficient in these technologies. Garvit is currently working as a Software Engineer - III at hashedin, where he has led a team of 6 engineers for the UI application developed for a US-based client. He has also developed and maintained a component library used throughout the UI application, developed a backend microservice to serve UI requests from the client, and refactored a microservice by splitting it into two different microservices to reduce the load on a single service. In the past, Garvit has worked as a Software Engineer at reddoorz, where he developed the frontend flow for the long-stay category, which is currently used by 50K+ users per day. He has also worked as a Software Development Engineer - I at Innovaccer, where he developed an analytics dashboard showcasing 33 socio-economic factors affecting the health of people in the USA, collaborated with a team of data scientists, solution architects, and data engineers to develop an analytics application for comparing the performance of 300 ACOs across 33 healthcare measures in the USA, and wrote unit test cases for REST-based APIs in parallel to the development process. Garvit holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, an Engineer’s Degree in Information Technology from SRM University, and completed his Intermediate and High School education at Lucknow Public School. With 4.87 years of relevant experience, Garvit is a skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in Javascript, Python, frontend and backend development, microservices, mobile, and data science.
