With over 21 years of relevant experience, Gary has honed his creative, technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills to become a versatile and effective content creator and educator. Gary's interest in computers dates back to the TRS-80 and Prodigy, which introduced him to the Internet. He earned a BS in MIS at Teikyo Post University and then moved to Japan to teach English. Upon returning home, Gary discovered a passion for theater and film, which he balances with his digital interests. He obtained an MFA in acting at Sarah Lawrence College to improve his craft and deepen his understanding of theater history. Collaborative projects inspire Gary, and he has found the Internet to be a valuable tool for education and collaboration. He is always eager to learn about new tools and features and to plan projects in advance to avoid pitfalls. Gary believes that with great power comes great responsibility and lives his life accordingly. He is always ready to help others achieve their goals and make a positive impact on the world. Currently, Gary works as a Senior Content Producer at Opal, where he creates and maintains training and education materials. He has also worked as an Education Specialist at Opal (software), where he trained users via customized instructor-led trainings, launch workshops, live webinars, videos, and additional training resources. Gary's education history includes a BS in MIS from Teikyo Post University, which he earned between 1993 and 1997. He has a strong web-focused tech stack and is always eager to learn about new technologies and platforms that can improve his work.
