Gaurang Jhawar is a highly driven engineer with a passion for software development, artificial intelligence, product, and engineering management. With over 9 years of relevant experience, he has contributed to almost all engineering stacks, including backend, mobile, frontend, AI, data, and SRE. He has also led various projects involved in building a web scale technology product. Currently working as a Staff Software Engineer at LinkedIn, Gaurang is part of the Learner Search Discovery Team. He has helped build LinkedIn Learning with offerings for both B2C and B2B segments. In his previous role as a Senior Software Engineer at LinkedIn, he worked as an AI/Mobile Engineer on Learner Discovery Experience team (B2C) and Full Stack Developer for LinkedIn Learning B2B Product. Gaurang's key responsibilities at LinkedIn included working on the AI/ML pipelines & infra for LinkedIn Learning's Machine Learning & Deep Learning models for Search & Recommender systems, developing and maintaining the Android app for LinkedIn Learning, and frontend development using Javascript frameworks (Ember.js, Javascript, HTML, CSS). He has also gathered requirements from stakeholders, collaborated with cross-functional teams to launch features from scratch to production. Gaurang is a strong believer in having a positive growth mindset and continuous lifelong learning. He holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Engineering from the University of Pune. Gaurang's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Senior Software Engineering, AI, Search, Mobile, SRE, Frontend, ML, product manager, Backend, Web, Deep Learning, Android, Javascript, infra, and Ember.js.
