Gaurav Agarwal is a skilled Software Engineer with over 4 years of experience in the aerospace R&D lab, startup, and large company. He has experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, with a focus on hands-on development, end-to-end system design, and software architecture. He has a strong base in embedded systems, data structures, and algorithms, good aptitude in problem-solving, and exposure to handling complete ownership of components and driving projects independently. Currently, Gaurav is working as a Research Intern at the Crucible of Research and Innovation, where he is involved in the complete design, development, assembly, integration, and testing phase of PISAT- a nano-satellite student project funded by ISRO and PES University. He has worked on subsystems such as System Engineering, OBC and ADCS, Payload, Assembly, Integration, and Testing, and Mission Planning and Operations. He has also built a robust test system that emulated sensors, interface cards, and ground software, which was used for Avionics bring-ups, On-board in Loop Simulation (OiLS), independent verification of telemetry, telecommand, payload interface, and ground checkout. Prior to this, Gaurav worked as an Engineer Intern and Flight Software Engineer at TeamIndus Axiom Research Labs. There, he set up a CI/CD pipeline for Flight Software development, developed frameworks for running regression unit, interface and integration level of testing with auto code generation capabilities, and developed software systems to perform an autonomous lunar descent sequence. He also developed interface drivers for protocol establishment with the Onboard Computer, other interfacing cards, and sensors, and maintained a complete dashboard for the Flight Software team for coverage on code development, documentation, and post-tests analysis. Gaurav holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from PES University. He is a technophile and has exposure to state-of-the-art technologies and challenging environments. He is interested in expanding his domain and working with agnostic solutions.
