Gaurav Agarwal is an experienced business founder specializing in remote recruitment solutions. He is passionate about helping companies hire efficiently and is also a resume writing expert. With over eight years of relevant experience, Gaurav has successfully founded and managed two companies, SMVA Consultants and Cofounders Planet. Gaurav started his career as a Chartered Accountant and worked for Unilever South Africa before returning to his hometown in Kolkata. In 2013, he founded SMVA Consultants, a free job consultancy that grew to serve over 850 corporates across 15 countries. In 2018, he kick-started the franchising journey and added 40+ units across 11 cities of India, achieving a success ratio of 22% against the industry average of 9%. In 2020, Gaurav handed over the day-to-day operations of SMVA Consultants to the COO and launched Cofounders Planet, a community-based platform to find curated cofounders on sweat equity. Gaurav is a life-long learner and has completed various programs in innovation, entrepreneurship, and business management from institutions like Stanford University and IIM Kashipur. He has also learned tricks and tips for scaling businesses by 5X through the Stanford Seed Program with 100+ entrepreneurs. Gaurav's current role is the founder of RECEX-Recruitment Exchange, a three-way marketplace that helps companies find quality job seekers through AI-based tools and a franchise partner network. He is responsible for management, marketing, human resources, learning and development, and finance. In his free time, Gaurav volunteers for education, teaching underprivileged students English, Bhagavad Gita, and general awareness. He is skilled in AWS, AI, and search technology and has worked with companies like Vakil Search and Razorpay. His mission is to enable 1000 HR entrepreneurs to start their online recruitment business from home.
