Gaurav Bansal is an experienced Software Engineer with a passion for building and scaling microservices. He has a strong background in Java, Python, Spring framework, Hibernate Flask Web app, Cloud technology Management, and Teamwork. He graduated from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, and has since worked with various companies, including Flipkart and Citrix. Currently, Gaurav is working as a Software Development Engineer 2 at Flipkart, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining scalable microservices. He has also worked as a Software Engineer at Flipkart and a Software Engineer 2 at Citrix, where he was part of the Feature Canary Project. In this role, he built infrastructure for launching any cloud features in a canary way, which involved building a Python Flask application with REST API interface, containerization of the application using Docker, and integrating the application with pub-sub mechanism to distribute messages in a distributed data system and store them in Redis DB. He also brought up the whole infrastructure on AWS/Azure cloud using Ansible script and finished unit testing automation of it. Finally, he integrated Splunk to send all the logs to Splunk. Gaurav's education and work experience have given him a deep understanding of software engineering, microservices, and cloud technology management. He is skilled in using various technologies, including Java, Python, Flask, Spring, Redis, AWS, MySQL, Ansible, Docker, Kafka, and Azure. He is a strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
