Gaurav Bhatt is a highly skilled Software Engineer with 8.94 years of experience in the field. He is currently working at Cisco Systems as a Software Engineer, where he is responsible for developing Time Division Multiplexing features for ASR900 Series routers, working on SONET and SDH technology, and implementing HDLC, MLPPP, and CEM protocol features in TDM Interface Module cards. He has also worked on the hardware bring up of TDM modules with new Route Processor, bug fixing, feature maintenance, and working with customers. Gaurav is the point of contact for MLP protocol related issues and has implemented and verified Adaptive Clock Recovery protocol in T1E1 Interface modules in ASR903 routers. In addition to his work on TDM features, Gaurav is involved in the feature development related to IEEE1588 (Precision Time Protocol) on Cisco ASR900 series routers and has implemented BMCA algorithm for clock selection in PTP on ASR900 family routers. Prior to joining Cisco Systems, Gaurav worked at Siemens as a Software Development Intern, where he was involved in the design, development, and testing of various Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality device integration with the visualization software. He successfully integrated Oculus Rift and HTC Vive with the in-house graphic engine and worked on benchmarking the prototype, which included getting performance data of rendering 3D models and performing various 3D techniques on the rendered object. Gaurav holds a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Information Technology from the College of Engineering Roorkee. He is proficient in programming languages such as C++ and has experience working with tools such as OpenGL and Visual Studio.
