Gaurav Chhabra is an engineering leader with over 17 years of experience in the capital markets and banking domain. He is currently the India Head for Rates Trading Technology at Wells Fargo, where he leads the whole Rates Technology India team. Gaurav has extensive experience in building front-office applications for different asset classes like Fixed Income, Futures, and Options, working closely with traders and business for technology-driven solutions. He has successfully steered cloud migration initiatives for various business functionalities, delivering cloud-native applications to PCF using EPL, containerization, and microservices architecture. Gaurav has also delivered highly scalable, low-latency trading applications using Apache Ignite, Oracle Coherence, and Apache Kafka. He has developed strong partnerships and collaboration with cross-teams and key stakeholders across the organization. Gaurav is an expert in Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM, and has facilitated and guided teams on multiple scrum ceremonies effectively. He has received several awards and recognition throughout his career, including First Prize at Showcase 2021, Campus Council Tech Squad, Tech Games Lead at Enterprise, Save 2CR+ at TDD Program, RBS - Ovation Award, and Velankani - Spot Award. Before joining Wells Fargo, Gaurav worked as a Senior Software Designer at RBS India Development Center and as a Senior Software Engineer at Velankani Software. He holds a degree from Motivational Pathway.
