Gaurav Garg is a Senior Technical Architect at ShareChat with over 15 years of relevant experience in the field of software engineering. He specializes in startups, scalable distributed systems software, scale-out object store, file system, infrastructure, and manageability. Currently, he is working as a Software Engineer at Facebook. Gaurav has worked with several top-tier companies in the past, including Cohesity, where he was an Eng Lead & Staff Eng II. As an early employee, he got an opportunity to work and contribute to various components of the web-scale platform. He was responsible for developing and scaling out the object store (S3 compatible), data protection service infrastructure, and various adapters. Additionally, he also worked on the stats service for reporting, monitoring, and diagnostics, cluster manageability service, platform and infrastructure, WAL, NoSQL DBs, protocol buffers, and RPCs. Prior to Cohesity, Gaurav worked as a Software Developer at Nutanix, where he was responsible for developing and maintaining web-scale distributed systems software. Gaurav holds a Bachelor and Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in software engineering, infra, NoSQL, and web development.
