Gaurav Gupta is a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technology Officer and founding team member at Eligible, a company that focuses on protecting patients from surprise medical bills. With over 12 years of relevant experience in software engineering, security, and solution design, Gaurav has worked with some of the biggest names in the tech industry, including Amazon and IBM. During his time at Amazon, Gaurav worked as a Senior Software Development Engineer, where he played a key role in developing Amazon Publisher Studio, a platform that streamlines link creation and monetizes image inventory and text content. He also worked on category expansion automation, which eliminated the need for manual effort during category expansion. Prior to Amazon, Gaurav worked at IBM India Software Lab as an Associate Software Engineer under the CTO office, where he gained valuable insight into software security in identity and entitlement domains. Gaurav's work at IBM resulted in a patent being published with the US patent office. Gaurav is passionate about exploring new technologies in software development and design strategies and has contributed to the open-source community. He started his open-source journey with KDE Marble as a Google Summer of Code student. Gaurav holds a B.Tech. degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi. He also attended Central Academy for his secondary education.
