Gaurav has worked with frameworks such as Apache Spark, Django, Flask, and Jaspersoft, and has used a range of software packages including IntelliJ, PyCharm, Eclipse, MATLAB, NetBeans6.8, DevC++, Visual Studio, Perforce, SVN, Fortify, SOAP UI, ADSIedit, and OData. He is also proficient in operating systems such as Fedora, Ubuntu, CentOS, Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2003/08. Prior to his current role, Gaurav served as Principal Architect at Krista Software, and as a Software Engineer at Mindtickle, where he led the data architecture team and created a complete system with an Apache Spark-based data pipeline and a data delivery architecture that included Jaspersoft BI tool and an OData protocol-based API. Gaurav holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) and a Masters of Technology (MTech) in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He is a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Spark, data engineering, MySQL, MSSQL, Elastic Search, Flask, UI, web development, Python, Django, and Scala.
