Gaurav Jain is a seasoned Test Lead, SDET, and Automation Infrastructure developer with over 15 years of experience in software development and testing. He possesses a strong understanding of Perl Scripting, Object Oriented Perl, and Python, and has relevant experience in Storage, SAN, Automation Framework, Real-time streaming of data over WLAN, Layer-2 network protocol, and Real-Time OS (RTOS). Gaurav has a good understanding of ISCSI, FCP, FCIP, and FCoE Protocols and has played a key role in establishing a team of 25 at EMC India CoE for Test Development and Test Execution. Gaurav has led the end-to-end development of Automation tools, right from requirement gathering, creating high-level and low-level design documents, framing class diagrams, effort estimation, development, testing, deployment, documentation, review, to handling and implementation of change requests and problem requests. He has also tested Command Line Interface (CLI) for SAN box across all major platforms UNIX, HP-UX, Solaris, AIX, Linux, and Windows. Additionally, he has implemented and tested Layer-2 Network Protocol on Linux and tested Real-Time Streaming of Audio and Video data over WLAN 802.11 b/g networks. Gaurav has experience in testing Real-Time OS (RTOS) and Real-Time Systems on different platforms/OS. Gaurav's experience includes System testing, Functional/Black box testing, Regression testing, Automation testing, Integration testing, and Manual testing. He is currently working as a Test Lead and Principal Software Development Engineer in Test at Broadcom. In his previous roles, he has worked as an Associate Principal Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at EMC. Gaurav holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Jawaharlal Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Symbiosis.
